Shawn Mendes Bicara soal Perpisahan di 'It'll Be Okay', Begini Liriknya!

Jakarta - Shawn Mendes kembali menyapa penggemar lewat perilisan music video (MV) untuk single terbarunya 'It'll Be Okay', Jumat (14/1/2022).

Mengutip Genius, lagu yang ditulis oleh Shawn sendiri itu menggambarkan perpisahan Shawn dan Camila Cabello.

Diketahui, Shawn dan Camila mengumumkan perpisahan mereka dalam sebuah pernyataan yang dibuat di Instagram Stories masing-masing pada 18 November 2021 lalu.

"Hai guys, kami telah memutuskan untuk mengakhiri hubungan romantis kami," tulis Camila dan Shawn yang mengumumkan putus setelah berkencan selama dua tahun lebih.

Camila dan Shawn mulai berkencan pada Juli 2019, tak lama setelah 'Senorita', lagu kolaborasi keduanya dirilis.

Dalam MV yang dirilis hampir dua bulan setelah pengumuman putus tersebut pun, Shawn tampak melankolis sambil menyanyikan bait demi bait lirik lagu 'It'll Be Okay'.

Disutradarai oleh Jay Martin, MV tersebut memperlihatkan Shawn yang sedang berjalan sendirian malam-malam di jalanan kota kelahirannya, Toronto, Kanada. Kala itu, kota tersebut sedang dalam suasana musim dingin.
